"Americans need to shift their definition of privacy to center instead on the proper maintenance and protection of personal data by government and business entities."

Kerr's comments come at a time when the US government is trying to address objections over the Foreign Surveillance Intelligence Act. In particular, the question is whether or not telecommunications companies deserve immunity for their involvement in illegal wiretapping beginning in 2001. Kerr seems to be saying, hey guys, what they did isn't bad at all, you should be impressed how secret it all was, really.

The NeoCons continue to make parody obselete.

Why do you ask, citizen?

They're "just breasts"! This is the rallying cry of a network of women who have launched a campaign for the right to bathe topless at Sweden's swimming pools. A new wave of feminists have been angered by an incident in September in which two bare-breasted young women were called ashore by a lifeguard at a swimming pool in Uppsala. When they refused to cover up, they were asked to leave the premises.

I will never in a million years understand the crusty old white men who oppose women being allowed to go topless. Even setting aside the question of equal treatment under the law for a minute... what exactly do have to lose here, guys?? "Look, that woman is taking her shirt off! NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! NOT TEH HOOTARZ!!!!!"

The magnetic field of the plasmoid causes it to shrink.

If you're interested in the long story, I posted the Google TechTalk on Plasma Focus Fusion a bit back.
