Swiss nutcase straps on 8' wide jet wings and goes for a flight.

A Swiss pilot strapped on a jet-powered wing and leaped from a plane Wednesday for the first public demonstration of the homemade device, turning figure eights and soaring high above the Alps. Yves Rossy's performance in front of the world press capped five years of training and many more years of dreaming.

"This flight was absolutely excellent," the former fighter pilot and extreme sports enthusiast said after touching down on an airfield near the eastern shore of Lake Geneva. Rossy, 48, had stepped out of the Swiss-built Pilatus Porter aircraft at 7,500 feet and unfolded the rigid eight-foot wings strapped to his back before jumping.

Passing from free fall to a gentle glide, Rossy then triggered four jet turbines and accelerated to 186 miles per hour, about 65 miles per hour faster than the typical falling skydiver. A plane that flew at some distance beside him measured his speed.

I like this one much better than the one from 2003. This new design is much closer to the long, narrow wings of a glider - much better lift/drag ratio.

The COBRA C.L.A.W. has finally become a reality... nobody tell pigs.

"The Sims: Avtomat Kalashnikova Edition"

A bit harsh overall; GTA4 is still a fun game. Also, panel 2 is incorrect. It's always been possible to shake a wanted level of two (maybe three) stars simply by driving out of the neighborhood you're in and then staying out of sight. Or at least I can vouch for this in GTA3, Vice City, and San Andreas.

But the main points are still correct, and definitely knock the game down from the blatantly hyperbolic 10/10 heights proclaimed by the gaming press.
