Just prior to that entry, I sent a mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. I had to send it there, because after they banned my login, I can no longer use the "click here to mail a mod" feature. Nice little catch-22 there. I also couldn't find any mod's address anywhere in any post on the "About This Message Board" forum or anywhere in the FAQ pages. So I sent a mail to email@example.com telling them all og the above, repeating that I was sure that my old aliases were older than the claimed 90 day auto-deletion period before I started a new one, and "okay, you said you wanted to talk, so let's talk." Since you're reading this, you can probably guess what their reply was. Yeah, that thing in the title of the entry...
So, I sent them the following email just a minute ago:
Subject: Second Email: To the mods of the SDMB.
As usual, this is in reference to:
And yes, I am MikeRochenelle, though I'm fairly sure you know that.
Anyway, it appears you are ignoring me on purpose. It's either that or you're incompetent. (Well, frankly, given my opinions of Tuba, perhaps I ought to opt for that explanation...)
For the record, I have received zero, zip, zilch, nada, no response whatsoever to my mail of a week ago. A mail, you may remember, that I sent at your request.
If you're attempting to make me break the rules and go register another handle just so I can "click on a Mods name to mail them" on the board,
it won't work. If I do that I just give you ammunition to turn right around and tell me I've broken the rules one too many times. I intend to give you no excuses.
If MEBuckner's offer to talk about things wasn't sincere, why did you bother posting it in the first place? Simply to save face and make yourselves not look like the bad guys? If so, that's pretty sad.
Frankly I'm not ready to call them actively malicious yet. It seems possible that the webmaster didn't forward my previous mail to the mods, or they bungled and/or forgot about it when they did get it. Still, I'm getting less impressed by the day by the conduct of these guys. It seems to have totally flummoxed them that A) someone could be right when they were wrong and B) someone could point out their mistakes without violating their "easy out" - the "don't be a jerk" rule.
We'll see if they invoke the "We can kick you off for any reason, or no reason" clause of the board user agreement. I'll be laughing my ass off if they do that. Dedicated to fighting ignorance... unless the truth is inconvenient or distasteful to us!
