For the first time in six sequels, a new Tomb Raider game that may actually be fun to play!

Time spent with Lara Croft has been some of my favorite time in video games. TR has lots of fun eye candy, and just enough action and puzzle to keep me challenged but not frustrated. I'm crossing my fingers for this one - I really want it to be good.

I really enjoyed TR 1 and 2. I remember disliking 3, and 4 was sorta meh (god, I HAAAAATED the vine-swinging and the crossbow crap- the controls are too damn shaky for it). Never played - due to not owning- the PS2 stuff, but I hear it's got just as many problems as joys as the original versions.

I still go back and replay 2 now and then for fun though- I always liked that it was more about exploring then story or time limits or any of that crap. If only someone could come up with a similar scenario but less illogically laid out/circular level play and less clipping and camera errors.. then that'd be a game I'd run out to buy.

As it is, I have a real soft spot for TR and most people bash it, so I'm happy to see at least one other person I know enjoys the game. ;) Lara definitely has her moments.

I admit upfront I play it mainly for cheesecake and pretty environments. That's the whole point. Heck, why do I play video games period? For entertainment!
