[Digg] How to solder.

http://www.aaroncake.net/electronics/solder.htm

I would add: Use a GOOD iron. If you possibly can, a temperature compensated soldering station. But at the very least, use a 30 watt iron. The cheap Radio Shack 15 watt irons cost $8 for a reason. The reason is that they suck. I learned the hard way on a RS 15 watt iron. It's like learning to drive in a semi. You'll get frustrated and crash in an hour. It was only later that I learned how quick and easy soldering can be with good equipment.
