I would say it's not true, but then I've never heard Rita Rudner. Well, decide for yourself! Mom's been on NPR as a legal expert multiple times. The most recent one was http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4727920 wherein mom talks about what the Supreme Court may be like now that Sandra O'Conner is gone.

The voice is surprisingly like Rita Rudner's, yes, but not the delivery; it's not nearly affected enough.

I should not find their voices as funny as I do. Hehee.

You say "Mom" appeared on NPR... Are you saying your mother is Mimi Wesson?

In any case, I agree that her delivery was not as affected as Rudner's, but then, she was not delivering a comedy routine.
