The camera sends back video wirelessly to the goggles. The camera is mounted on a two-axis of rotation actuator, and the goggles have a gyro-sensor. So when he looks around, so does the camera on the plane! It's about as close to real flying as you can get without forking over the ~$10,000 worth of training for a private pilot's license. The video has actual flight footage showing off the system.

If you did that RC plane / camera in the US, you'd likely have the police climbing all over you citing the patriot act or something with the "terrorist" or "Homeland security" buzzwords in it. Since we banned the boy scouts from using model rockets and all, we certainly cant do RC planes with cameras. Neverless very cool.

Oh the Blue Angels flew all over SF for the last 4 days (fleet week), booming right over the neighborhoods. Although cool to watch, I'd crap my pants if I was in a forein country, me and my camels and fighter jets came flying over my head. Neverless, vibrating my house for 4 days was terrorism indeed. I wonder if I can call the police on them or something.
