Here's a quick and extremely easy way to multiply two and three digit numbers, by merely drawing lines and counting intersections.

ITYM "a quick and easy way to multiply two and three digit numbers with low digits". You'd be screwed if you tried to do 987 x 798 like this.

Clever but I bet it would be much harder with anything that had plenty of carries. Seems more difficult on average than using plain multiplication.
