His review actually makes me want to play Ninja Gaiden II. I mean, when he describes things like, "So the gore's been ramped up and as always hand in hand with gore comes... titties; his lovely wife and business partner. As the game begins we're introduced to a delightful, young lady whose skimpy, leather top looks like it's trying and failing to contain some kind of watermelon landslide and within, literally, one minute she's been arousingly chained up by the baddies..." That, alone, has me sold. I mean, what else would I want? Srsly~
I'm also tempted by the notion that this is a hard game. Lately, amongst the deficiencies of recent games is my feeling that games have been dumbed down and designed to hand hold players through the story (much more so with rpgs than with action adventure games, it seems, but all the same really) and I liked tough, challenging games like Ghosts 'n Goblins or the original Ninja Gaiden on the NES.
