I'm going to Penny Arcade Expo this year.

My flight leaves about 8pm on Fri the 29th and I'll be back at DIA about midnight on Sun the 31st.

I will have my cell phone with me while I'm in Shi-ah-toh-ru, so if you should need to get in touch with me urgently, the cell phone number is in my LJ userinfo as always.

I'll have my digicam and laptop with me too, and plan on taking as many pictures as my poor little 32MB memory card can handle. (Probably have to dump it twice a day.)

What?! If you had told me you were going I might've considered it.. Oh well. I'm kind of tired of cons this year anyway. I don't think I'm going to do AX and SDCC back to back like that again.

Oh, sorry. We have been planning it for a while, but the planning started about the time you were stressing out at EA. Didn't think it was a good idea to lock you in to long term plans at that point.

We'll just have to see. A lot will depend on how quickly I get another job. That will drive the timetable for New Zealand.

I have an old Sony 1 Mpixel DSC-3 from like... 1993 or something. It uses original Sony-proprietary Memory Sticks - the ones that nobody thought could ever possibly get larger than 128 megs, so the physical interface only has enough address lines for that much memory.

Because it's only 1 MP, even on fine mode it still stores 60-70 JPGs on a 32 meg memory card. That should be enough for a half day. Also, I'm not a big pic-head, so I don't need a better camera than this. I know there are much better ones out there. But I take a picture, on average, maybe once a year. It's just not worth buying a fancier camera. The DSC-3 is already my personal equivalent of a Yashica T4.

Deal!

I'm busy all day today (machining a part and doing Z resurrection phase 1), but maybe tomorrow evening? Or this weekend?
